Awe refers to the feathered, tufted ornamentation found on a taiaha's collar - a detail from a weapon Māori have refined over generations, symbolising strength, power and influence. Master carver Whare Thompson, commissioned by Shot, translated this into a laser-etched tattoo sleeve that wraps the full length of the barrel.
