Shot's Roman Empire range pays tribute to the brilliant strategists behind Rome's military triumphs – the minds who pioneered new technology, refined battle tactics, planned every engagement down to the last detail, and brought together the forces, equipment and support needed to secure victory. Each of the three barrels in the Roman Empire range carries the new signature Testudo grip, named after the 'tortoise' shield-wall formation legionaries used to shield themselves from enemy arrows.

This 90% tungsten barrel is finished in gold titanium, a tribute to the Aquila, the eagle emblem carried on the Legion's standard, under which soldiers fought with courage and unwavering purpose. A front-weighted torpedo shape combined with Testudo, Colosseum and Hilt grip zones gives clear direction and sharper aim on any battlefield, helping you adapt, bounce back from setbacks and keep improving game after game.

Barrel Design

Legion introduces two new grip profiles that create multiple finger reference points along the barrel. The nose carries the defensive Testudo grip, named for the legionaries' 'tortoise' shield-wall formation, followed by the Colosseum grip with its deep axial cuts – an ideal reference point for front-of-barrel throwers, finished with a super-fine texture that eases finger pressure. Players who are new to darts, whose grip wanders, or who prefer to hold from the midsection, will find a broad multi-directional scallop just behind the push point for secure placement and control. A narrow band of Testudo grip finishes off the rear of the dart. The barrel is plated in a rich gold titanium coating for both durability and looks, and is designed, made and colour-plated entirely at our factory in New Zealand.
